RED SOX KEEP LOSING...TIGERS' JUGGERNAUT KEEPS WINNING

The Seattle Mariners beat the Oakland A's 4-2.
The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Yankees 5-2.
The Baltimore Orioles beat the Boston Red Sox 6-3.
The Red Sox had a 9-game lead on the Rays on September 3rd.
Their sweet record of 6-19 this month has put them in a tie for the wildcard.
Boston MUST win their final 2 games to get into the playoffs!
They have absolutely NO momentum. The injuries keep piling-up...Jason Varitek was scratched because he took a foul ball off his left knee on Sunday...Jarrod Saltalamacchia left last night's game in the 8th inning after he got nailed near the throat...

Holy smokes! The Detroit Tigers are on a roll.
Tigers' hurler Doug Fister pitched 8 shutout innings, allowed only 3 hits and fired 9 Ks to beat the Cleveland Indians 14-0.
You wanna know how HOT Fister is: He has gone 20 innings without walking a batter.
In his last 8 appearances, Fister is 7-0 with a 0.65 ERA - better than Justin Verlander!
Delmon Young hit a 3-run homer and Alex Avila and Andy Dirks each had 3 RBIs.
Miguel Cabrera went 3-for-5 with 1 RBI to raise his AL-leading batting average to .343.
Wilson Betemit is questionable with a sore knee and Carlos Guillen is not available for the 1st round of the playoffs because of a sore calf.
