BIG SUNDAY HAPPENINGS...

Wow! The Lions were losing 20-0 at halftime.
Matthew Stafford hit Calvin Johnson for 2 TDs and Jason Hanson booted 4 field goals to beat the Minnesota Vikings 26-23 in OT!!!



The Oakland A's defeated the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Orange County of California of the Pacific Rim 6-5.



The big Yankees-Red Sox doubleheader was played on Sunday.
The Yankees won the first game 6-2, cutting Boston's wildcard lead to 1/2 game over Tampa Bay.
The second game lasted 5 hours and 11 minutes and ended with a 2-out, 3-run homer in the 14th inning by Jacoby Ellsbury.
The Red Sox beat the Yankees 7-4.
Boston enters their final 3 games against the Orioles with a 1 game lead over Tampa Bay.




On the same day that the Lions pulled-off a huge comeback win, the Tigers beat the Orioles with Brad Penny on the mound!
Detroit defeated Baltimore 10-6. The Orioles starting pitcher, Brian Matusz, threw 5 innings, allowed 7 hits, 6 runs and finished with a season ERA of 10.69.
Don Kelly, Jhonny Peralta, Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez all hit homers.
V-Mart had 3 RBIs, giving him a 101 RBIs for the season. He joins Cabrera at the century-mark. The Baby-Faced Assassin had 2 RBIs to give him 103.



The HBWHOF took-in the miraculous Penny win. I had a few of these puppies...
