BASEBALL NOT BEING BERRY, BERRY GOOD TO THE RED SOX

Wow! What a meltdown!!...and I'm not even talkin' about the Red Sox...
Brandon McCarthy had another great outing. McCarthy pitched 7 innings, allowed 6 hits and left the game with a 2-1 lead. Then the bullpen took over.
A's reliever Grant Balfour served-up a tying home run to Ian Kinsler and the game-winning dinger to Josh Hamilton.
Kinsler's homer made him the first 2nd baseman in AL history to have 30 home runs, 30 doubles, 100 runs scored and 80 walks in the same season!!
The Texas Rangers beat the A's 3-2.

Josh Hamilton celebrates with Adrian Beltre after his game winning 'tater...

The Red Sox had an exquisite meltdown of their own. They had a 4-2 lead going into the 7th inning...then what usually happens happened...
The worst part - Boston ace Josh Beckett gave-up 6 runs, including 2 home runs to Orioles 3rd baseman Mark Reynolds!
Baltimore defeated Boston 6-4.
A 5-16 record thus far in September. Impressive!
Next up on the docket - a 3-game series against the Yankees in New York.
WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!

The New York Yankees won both games of a day-night doubleheader against the Tampa Bay Rays by identical scores of 4-2.
Amazingly, the Yankees are the only thing keeping the Boston Red Sox in the wildcard race! The Yankees actually extended Boston's lead over Tampa Bay to 2 1/2 games!!
After winning the day game New York clinched a playoff berth. After winning the night game they captured the AL East division crown...

The Detroit Tigers beat the Kansas City Royals 6-3.
Max Scherzer started the game for Detroit. Scherzer pitched 5 innings and left with the score tied 2-2. Doug Fister came in and threw 3 innings of relief and left with the Tigers winning 6-3. That was the final score.
Detroit scored 3 runs in the 8th...Miguel Cabrera drove in the go-ahead run and Don Kelly added a 2-run homer.
Fister got the win and the Big Potato pitched the 9th to get his 47th save in 47 opportunities!

Taylor Vixen(Do you think that's her real name?) celebrates another Motown victory by rockin' her Tigers' undies...
