MONDAY AND LOTSA STUFF GOING ON

HOLY F**K!!!
Matthew Stafford threw for 294 yards and 4 TDs in a 48-3 Lions win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tom Brady threw for 423 yards and 3 TDs in a 35-21 Patriots win over the San Diego Chargers.
Remember, last week, when Brady threw for a team record 517 yards? Brady became the first player in NFL history to follow a 500-yard passing performance with a 400-yard game!
But...before Tom Brady pulled-off this air-display, Cam Newton, briefly, held the NFL record for most passing yards in the first two games of the season by any quarterback! Last week Newton passed for 422 yards - the record for a rookie's 1st pro game!
On Sunday, Cam Newton threw for 432 yards and 1 TD and rushed for 53 yards and 1 TD.
So, Newton held the NFL record for most passing yards in the first 2 games of the season by a QB(854) until Tom Brady broke it a few hours later with 940!!!
Newton still set a league record for most yards passing in the first two games of a career!!!!

In other great news (extreme sarcasm) the Red Sox lost again.
The Rays beat the Red Sox 8-5 to pull within 2 games in the wildcard race!
Tampa Bay took 3-out-of-4 against Boston. The Red Sox have lost 11 of their last 14!
How pathetic is it that Red Sox' fans, now, have to root for the freakin' Yankees - who play the Rays 7 times in the last 10 games?

Justin Verlander and the Detroit Tigers shutout the Oakland A's 3-0.
JV won his 12th straight and improved to 24-5.
He's the first Tigers pitcher to win a dozen consecutive decisions since Bobo Newsom won 13 straight in 1940.
Verlander pitched 8 innings, allowed 3 hits, 3 walks and added 6 Ks.
He's in line for pitching's triple crown. Verlander leads the league in ERA at 2.29, wins - 24 and strikeouts - 244!!
Carlos Guillen left the game in the 4th inning because of a strained right calf.
The MONEYBALL premiere is today and it's BIG news in Oakland, since the A's and their VP & GM Billy Beane are the subject of the movie.
On Sunday, Jonah Hill, who plays the Peter Brand character(Who, in the book, is Paul DePodesta - at that time assistant to GM Billy Beane...currently VP of player development and scouting for the New York Mets) threw out the first pitch.

Kate Upton - new lingerie shoot for Victoria's Secret...
