The Detroit Tigers split their series with the Minnesota Twins.
After losing the first two games, Detroit won the 4th of July contest 5-1 and won the Thursday afternoon game 7-3.
This 4-game series was marked by 100 degree temperatures, high humidity, constant rain delays and the lumber supplied by Miggy (8 RBIs, 2 homers) and Prince (5 RBIs, 1 homer).
