JV & THE BIG POTATO

With Justin Verlander on the mound, the Detroit Tigers avoided being swept by the Cleveland Indians on Thursday night.

The Tigers beat the Tribe 4-3.

Verlander became baseball's first 17-game winner and notched his 100th career win.

The Tigers' ace pitched 7 innings, allowed 3 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks and fired

10 Ks.

The Big Potato pitched the 9th inning and earned his 33rd save in 33 opportunities - breaking the single-season club record held by Guillermo Hernandez.

Once again...I like her shoes...
