YANKEES DRAW FIRST BLOOD

Over on the senior circuit, the Brewers beat the D-backs 4-1 and the Phillies beat the Cards 11-6.
In the AL, the Rangers beat the Rays 8-6 and in New York...
Doug Fister started the game in the bottom of the 2nd and he had it goin' on until the 6th, then all hell broke loose. With the score 2-1 Yankees, and with 2 out, Fister loaded the bases. Leyland pulled Fister and put in Al Alburquerque. Alburquerque has been great for the Tigers all season...but, in the playoffs - with the bases loaded, he faced the unenviable task of pitching to a great hitter - Robinson Cano. Cano hit a grand slam!
Cano finished the day going 3-for-5 with a homer and 6 RBIs.
The Yankees beat the Tigers 9-3...

Max Scherzer vs Freddy Garcia today at 3:07 PM
